Language Plus is a charity that helps support children and parents whos first language is not English. A child who speaks more than one language is known as a Plural Linguist, Bi-linguist, or Multi-Linguist. Our aim is to give all children in the UK the support and guidance that is not readily available from traditional English teachers who are trained to teach native English learners. It is still widely thought in Education that a child that speaks more than one language can become confused when learning to speak English. Our target is to dispel this myth and promote the cultural diversity of not losing the language of your parents or grand parents whilst learning English and integrating into the UK. It is time we encourage and promote speaking more than one language in the UK.
