Dr Paul Larcombe
Hello, my name is Paul I am the owner and founder of Language Plus a charity that supports children and parents who speak more than one language and whos first language is not English. Over the last 15 years I have taught graduates and post-graduates English for Academic Purposes, Cultural Studies, Sports, and Research Methods. I have had the honour of working for the University of Southampton (oncampus), Kangwon National University (Korea), and UniHaven International College (Ireland). My educational background includes a BA Hons. in Sociology and Sport, a MA in Sociology and Sport, and a Ph.D. in English Linguistics and Environmental Literature. I have over a decade of experience teaching in education, which included 3 years at Mukho Girl's Middles School (South Korea), 7 years at Kangwon National University (South Korea), and 1 year at the University of Southampton (Oncampus).
I am a husband and father to a baby girl who is 1 year young. Our baby daughter is inspiring my new research into sociolinguistics and bilingualism. We are raising her to communicate in English and Russian, keep a lookout for new research, books, YouTube videos, and new episodes regularly coming out on the Da Da Daaa Podcast.
